I’m Ari Daniel Bradshaw, a fourth generation Phoenician whose family has been in Arizona for nearly a century. My father’s family came to the States in the early 1600s to escape political persecution and my mother’s family came here from Russia to escape the pogroms just prior to the Bolshevik Revolution.
I lost my father to suicide at 13 after a years-long struggle with synthetic opioid addiction. Shortly after, my cousin overdosed on heroin. After not finding success in our one-size-fits all public school system, I was able to receive a scholarship from Arizona’s expansive school choice options to a local private school and began excelling. In high school, I co-founded the Ink4Kidz charity with some of my peers and we raised dozens of thousands of dollars for underprivileged schools and students across the state.
From 2016-2020, I attended Vanderbilt University on a full scholarship. During my time at University, I took internships on Music Row and released dozens of songs with musicians from all across the country. Upon moving back to Arizona, I found myself living in the back of an RV with no air conditioning during the summer of 2020. I developed my advertising business during this time on a $200 laptop that I had from my time at school and within six months had lifted myself out of the back of the trailer.
After I had gotten myself on my own two feet, I decided to dedicate a large portion of my life to fighting for a better future so my children would have a better upbringing than I did. I founded one of the most active youth activist organization in the state – holding debates, creating scorecards, planning GOTV events, working with legislators on legislation throughout the 2023 session, and more.
I am grateful for the opportunity to run to represent the community that I grew up in and am blessed to have excellent mentors with our incumbent Senator Shawnna Bolick + Representative Justin Wilmeth.
