Our state should strive to become a no-kill state. We should ensure that our shelters are well-equipped, staffed, and sized in each county and that we have communication between each county shelter to best address animal concerns all throughout the state. I am in favor of allowing individuals to have backyard chickens and cage-free laws. Animal abuse in general should not be tolerated and should be criminalized. We must do what we can to protect our wild and domesticated animals.
