How do you go from energy independence to the lowest oil reserves in decades in less than two years? Here’s how: bad energy policy and politicians who care more about optics than actual solutions.
Oil companies couldn’t get production back to pre-COVID levels fast enough and engaged in immense price gouging that resulted in record profits. Our current administration has prevented multiple pipelines – including the Keystone XL – from being completed. Our current administration has slowed the expansion of our energy sector in nearly all fields while pushing the environmentally devastating and steel industry-subsidizing wind sector. Let’s get something out of the way right here: wind energy is generally a disaster and should be avoided by anybody who cares about energy independence or environmentalism. If you care about the environment, it’s time to hop off of the wind bandwagon and start promoting “green fusion” – safe and clean nuclear energy.
We need to expand our fracking, drilling, and natural gas operations. We need to facilitate the growth of the solar sector to individual families and enable those with water access to produce cheap hydro power. Nuclear power plants have far too much red tape and we are currently falling behind our international peers in energy production due to the lack of expansion and diversification in our energy sector.
