Dear LD2 Neighbors,
My name is Ari Daniel Bradshaw and I am writing to you as a candidate for the State House in our local legislative district. I am a 4th Generation Arizonan and I am the only native Arizonan running in this race to represent you in the Arizona State House. My family has spent 100 years in Arizona because it is an excellent place to raise a family, run a business, and chase the American Dream. We understand the bipartisan history of collaboration and cooperation that used to be the driving force behind Arizona politics.
My grandparents are Democrats in our district; I’m running for office as a Republican. We can get along well and discuss issues to find bipartisan solutions and compromise. I’ve been endorsed by nonpartisan members of Maricopa County’s water board and by numerous bipartisan organizations such as the AZ Tech Council, the Arizona Police Association, the Humane Voters of AZ, and the AZ Multihousing Association. A large part of why I decided to run for office was to change the direction of our hyperpartisan politics and to work towards real change to do what is right for the people of Arizona.
I believe in common sense policies to address human and drug trafficking across our southern border. I believe in policies which help reduce red tape for Arizonans who want to start their own small businesses. I agree with our founders that individual liberties must be protected and that all citizens must be equal under the law. We must support our first responders and ensure that every family has access to excellent options in their education regardless of income or zip code.
I believe in a teacher pay raise—something long overdue for our educators. I believe in protecting Arizona’s forests—something our legislature has failed to address. I believe in criminal justice reform so that we can reduce our nonviolent offender prison population and invest more into rehabilitation and community services. I agree with Attorney General Kris Mayes that we should have protected opioid settlement funds in the 2024 budget. I will always put the needs and interests of our district above the needs and interests of any political party.
I lost my father at 13 when he shot himself in front of me and my sister. He was addicted to opioids. I lost my cousin to heroin shortly after. The opioid epidemic—legal and illegal—is destroying families. Every day, three people die of fentanyl in Maricopa County and countless more suffer from addiction. We must invest into programs which help get addicts the resources they need to heal while preventing further addiction in our community.
I humbly ask you for one of your two votes for the Arizona State House. In Arizona, each district elects TWO members to the State House. Don’t waste your vote!

Ari Daniel Bradshaw
